i see your face
i feel your touch
the warmth of your breath
the comfort of your hug

i hear your voice
i watch your footsteps
the innocence of your words
the softness of your hands

in my mind i see you
the memory of you lingering in me
as i opened my eyes
is when i realized, you are gone

I can’t write a poem because I’m numb
The feelings were gone and so are the words
My mind is empty, I can’t think of anything
And every now and then I space out

I can’t write another love song today
Because the music in my heart was drained away
I can’t do anything poetic recently
My soul was lost and my heart stopped beating

I can’t rhyme the words in my head
There is no harmony in me anymore
You took away every piece of me
You left me breathless and broken so deep
